The Phoenix are a Silverstari kingdom famous for their shugenja, especially their leaders, the 'five elemental masters'.

Although all Silverstari clans have some shugenja, the phoenix have by far the greatest number, and these shugenja devote themselves to magical learnings. The Shugenja of all other clans look up to the Phoenix, and frequently travel to phoenix lands for training or consultation.
